Lisselton Hedge School

Here are some pics and video clips from the Hedge School re-enactment that took place on Saturday, August 25^th, 2018 in the Maurice Walsh Park at Lisselton Cross. This free event was organised by The Ballydonoghue Bardic Festival Committee to mark National Heritage Week.

Pupils from local Primary Schools took part in the re-enactment and Máistir Gearóid O’Connor kept them in order. Readings and music from local performers and poets also formed part of the programme. John Lynch and Charlie Nolan filmed the event and John was presented with an award for his life-long dedication to recording the events of the parish on film. Still Photography by John Stack.
